The objective of the Undergraduate Law Program is to train highly qualified legal professionals who possess the ability to grasp the nature, function, essence, and evolution of law, and whose competencies have been developed to identify and analyze new legal problems arising in a globalized world, enabling them to conduct sophisticated studies on legal theory and practice. Accordingly, the program's priority is to enhance our students' abilities to monitor national and international developments across various legal disciplines, apply the knowledge acquired in these areas on both a national and international level, and to evaluate and resolve legal problems encountered in a manner consistent with reason and justice.
The primary goal of the Faculty of Law, which prepared to admit its first students in the 2020-2021 academic year, is to offer an undergraduate program that, through a wide range of courses, educates just legal professionals who have developed reasoning and problem-solving skills, are well-equipped, multi-faceted, open to change, and adaptive. In line with this objective, theoretical courses will be supported by practical courses to facilitate student learning, and a monotonous instructional method will not be pursued. To realize such a goal, learning positive law subjects alone will not be deemed sufficient; due importance will be attached to legal disciplines, and particular attention will be given to ensuring that the historical experience of our society is intimately understood and subjected to scientific analysis.
Considering all these aims, the four-year undergraduate education is planned to be conducted in Turkish. Nevertheless, students who wish to do so will be offered the opportunity to study in an English preparatory class for one year, regardless of their scholarship or tuition status.
