Battal Niyazi Şahin was born on March 24, 1999. He completed his undergraduate education at Istanbul Okan University Faculty of Law between 2017 and 2021, receiving a full scholarship. Since 2022, he has been continuing his master’s education at the Marmara University Public Law Department.
His academic work is predominantly focused on the fields of genel kamu hukuku (general public law), insan hakları hukuku (human rights law), and anayasa hukuku (constitutional law). He has various articles and book chapters published in national peer-reviewed journals. Among these, topics such as sosyal haklar (social rights), the kültürel yaşama katılma hakkı (right to participate in cultural life), and egemenlik anlayışları (conceptions of sovereignty) stand out.
